The law and politics of transnational rights protection: Trusteeship, effectiveness, de?delegation

International trustee courts embody a specific form of delegation, in which state principals confer on such the authority to interpret and apply treaties agreed by states order realize values interests. Human rights help resolve commitment enforcement problems that are inherent human treaties. This study seeks answer question, what happens when parties seek reduce or eliminate court? To these questions, article assesses six treaty regimes: Council Europe; Organization American States; African Union; Economic Community West East Community; Southern Development Community. The identifies four types de-delegation possible with respect international extent have sought de-delegate from them. With one exception (the SADC Tribunal), regimes examined here so far successfully withstood challenge de-delegation.
